My first novel was published in 1988 and over 30 have followed, along with a number of novellas, all set in my native England. Four novels are medieval; the rest are either Georgian, set in the 1760s,or Regency, set in Jane Austen's time.

Five of my novels have won the RITA award, the top award of Romance Writers of America, and I am a member of the RWA Hall of Fame and Honor Roll. Publisher's Weekly described me as "arguably today's most skilful writer of intelligent historical romance."
